The Internship Experience
Yuba Water Agency’s internship program provides opportunities for current college-level students looking for experience in engineering, environmental science and compliance, administration, communications, water resources, hydrology and more.
During their time with Yuba Water, interns will see and experience the fifth tallest dam in the U.S., New Bullards Bar, the largest single-cast Pelton Wheels ever manufactured and all of the systems that keep the agency operating at the highest level possible.
Interns are assigned routine projects with direct oversight, and are able to work a maximum of 1,000 hours per fiscal year. The internship experience typically culminates with a presentation to Yuba Water's Board of Directors.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current college student
- Combined GPA of 2.5 or higher
Requirements
- Pass background check, physical and drug screening
- Provide references upon request
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Compensation
- Pay rate is $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
- Interns are supplied arc flash rated clothing, if necessary
